The Romathan Theater in Košice wants to bring its spectators artistic experiences even at a time when they have to cancel their performances due to the pandemic situation. That is why it has already prepared the 86th premiere of Ancient Roma Melodies.

Cultural heritage is a metaphor for public acceptance of the past. And it is our Romani musical folklore that is a cultural phenomenon that is considered to be the most distinctive, typical and unique in the context of vibrant Romani culture.

It is one of the primary manifestations of the Roma, reflects a specific approach to the inner spiritual experience of life experiences and is also a means of expressing the attitudes and opinions of creators and performers.

We believe that the project - Ancient Roma Melodies will be perceived as the 2nd part of the concert Forgotten Melodies of the Roma, which, by the way, was a great success with the audience and will be just as successful and beneficial.
